Katherine Jenkins wears Suzanne Neville for the Coronation Festival
Katherine Jenkins was one of the few lucky performers invited to sing inside the grounds of Buckingham Palace for a special gala concert. The Welsh classical singer, 33, opted for a regal purple Suzanne Neville creation as she performed in front of Queen Elizabeth II for the Coronation Festival.
The monarch has opened up the grounds of her London home to the public for four days as part of a festival to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s Coronation. And Thursday night saw an evening gala, which featured performances from singers, bands and ballet dancers.
Suzanne Neville created two spectacular dresses for Katherine Jenkins to perform in for the Queen’s coronation celebrations in purple and in green.
One is in the style of her stunning Deco dress, adapted into a vivid purple tulle covered in thousands of hand sewn sequins and crystals with a high neckline, sheer back and crystal encrusted belt and neckline, and the other was in a vibrant emerald green with a dramatic fishtail skirt, off the shoulder neckline and a long train.
